Dance Class (or Blackmail for teenage years)

I enrolled Luke in a Mommy and Me dance class for the months of January and February at the dance studio where I teach (and yes...Nate did agree, with only a little hesitating!). With his love of all things music, we wanted him to get involved in something music-related, and since it is free due to my employment, we thought we'd try it out before he was too old to realize he didn't want to dance with a bunch of girls in leotards and tutus.

Well...he not only loves the class and the company (with Miss Shelle being his very favorite!), but he insists on having similar attire to the rest of the girls in his class. I never once forced him to put on a tutu, or fairy wings, or a hula skirt...we were just there to move and have fun, but he jumped right in and played the part of "ballerina", "hula girl", etc. Our final class next week is Princess themed. Hmmm...what will that look like? Maybe he can be the prince of the ball?

I will not be posting these pictures on Facebook or printing them out to display, but I will keep them for a laugh (or blackmail) later on in Luke's life! Poor kid...that's what you get when your Mom is a dance teacher! We'll do something more "manly" next...swimming starts at the end of February!
