Halloween Happenings

I'm a bit behind the game, since it's almost Thanksgiving, but I didn't want to neglect to post pictures and report on our Halloween happenings this year!

We attended ZooBoo the weekend before Halloween. Luke wore his costume from last year (mostly because Mom knew there would be a lot of people there, and crowds + a 3 year old in a large snail shell = disaster waiting to happen!). We checked out the animals while trick-or-treating, and looked at all the cool Halloween displays they had up! Here was one of them. I'm not sure if he tried to have this face of uncertainty or not, but it is pretty cute!

We watched the elephants smash some pumpkins...

...and rode the "round-go-merry" (which means the carousel went backwards!)

Then, we worked on our pumpkin carving! Luke was willing to help pull the guts out this year, but still thought it was pretty gross, as demonstrated here:

We trick-or-treated on November 1st, due to a bad storm and cold weather on the 31st. We were glad it got changed, because that meant that Meme and Papa got to join us for the fun!

Isn't our little Turbo so cute?!

Here's Turbo demonstrating his speed skills before we started our adventure!

Luke really got into it this year, and understood the concept of going door-to-door. He loved hunting for the porches with the lights on, and was willing to go up to many doors by himself! Although, it was also fun to ask Meme to come along to many of them too!

"You mean this big candy bar is all for me?"

Luke wanted to keep going until his pumpkin was filled all the way to the top! Good thing we have generous neighbors, who gave him handfuls of candy, at times! We are still working on finishing up our Halloween candy around here!

Can you tell what Luke wanted carved in his pumpkin this year?

Mater! (Credits to Daddy again this year for this creation!)

Until next year! Wonder what he'll want to dress up as when he's four?

Meme and I were scheming that perhaps we could convince him to be a drum player in a marching band! Then, I could just flip the snail shell over and add some straps!
