Easter

Our family had a wonderful Easter celebration this year! I made a new, "big boy" version of resurrection eggs for Luke to open leading up to Easter. He enjoyed hearing part of the Easter story every day and opening up an egg to find a symbol to match the events. We also walked through the "stations of the cross" at church on Good Friday as a family. Here, Luke and I are writing down a prayer together:

We colored eggs over the weekend to prepare for our egg hunt. We tried the shaving cream method this year. Luke had fun adding colors, mixing them, and rolling the eggs in shaving cream. The result was some beautiful tie-dyed looking eggs!

He was really excited to open his Easter basket before church on Sunday morning! He got a boomerang, playing card holders, a Dusty airplane toy, and a huge chocolate bunny!

Here are some shots of our handsome boy (who looks SO grown up in these pictures!) before we headed off to church!

And, one of our whole family before the service!

After church and a rest, we did an egg hunt outside. Luke had fun searching for all the eggs!

Then, we enjoyed a lovely dinner together. The weather was so nice that we were able to eat it outside on the deck (for the first time this season!).

It was a full, and wonderful way to celebrate our risen King!
