We've been a busy crew this summer already, and it's only just begun!! Here's a peak at what we've been up to:
We visited the new orangutan exhibit at the zoo. Since we are members, we were able to go to the early preview day. It was neat to be among the first to see the orangutans, and they surely did not disappoint. We got up close and personal, and one even performed on the high ropes for us!
Luke's been practicing his bike riding. He's a little fearful of falling off these days, but is getting better each day!
We've done a lot of yard work! (more on why in a future post)
We've enjoyed some backyard water play!
We visited the new China and Terra Cotta Warriors exhibit at the Children's Museum.
We have enjoyed some lazy picnics in the backyard.
We went to a baseball game and stayed late for the firework display.
We picked strawberries...lots of them!
and grabbed some ice cream while we were at the patch too! (Mommy let Luke choose whatever kind he wanted this time...as is clear from the photo below!)
We spent Memorial Day weekend up in Zeeland with the Pyle side of the family, where we ate lots of peanut butter, and caught up with extended family. Luke spent most of his time doing this...
Playing in the creek! One of his new favorite pastimes at Meme and Papa's house!
It's been a great summer so far!
