The Last Hoorahs of Summer!

We spent the last week of summer living it up and enjoying every second of being together, being outside, and being school-free! Our "week of fun" started with a trip to a mini waterpark.

Luke was a 1/2 inch too short for the big water slides, but we still had a ball on the lazy river, the splash park/wading pool pictured here, and the diving boards.

He probably dove off these boards 40 times over the course of the day!

We also headed to Conner Prairie for a morning, and cashed in our free balloon ride tickets that came with our membership! Luke and Daddy went 300 some feet up in the air! He was so excited to tell me he could see Indianapolis (amazingly, he spotted it before Nate) when he returned to ground!

We put him to work a little bit too while we were there! He loved helping split this wood!

This is one of our favorite "lazy day" past times; hanging on our front porch watching the rain!

Lastly, we headed to the State Fair!
We got our annual "Mommy and Luke in the tractor wheel" picture! It's starting to get crowded in there, and I didn't grow any this year!

We let Luke try his hand at shooting a gun (a simulator-type) inside the DNR tent this year!

We thought this was a neat attraction...playing tic-tac-toe with a scuba diver!

Our favorite part...the rides! Luke loves roller coasters. We got smart this year and saved the log ride for the end of the trip so we didn't have to walk around with wet booties all day!

This was probably one of our best summers to date! We have no regrets and we are ready to move on to the next phase!
