One!!!

Our Evie-girl turned one year old on February 19th! We threw a big bash to celebrate a great year and wish her well for the year to come! She has added so much sparkle to our lives and there is no denying that she makes our hearts shine bright!

She did so well opening all her gifts! She loved the tissue paper.

Of course, she had lots of help from big brother!

She was a little unsure of the whole fire, singing and cake part (what are these crazy people doing, and why am I naked?)

She really doesn't like when her fingers get messy!

But she did humor us and try a few bites!

Evelyn is crazy sweet with a super contagious smile that is present almost all the time. She gives the best hugs and loves to cuddle, but also has a determined and a "I know what I want, when I want it, and I want it now!" side. Dogs and books and music are some of her very favorite things. She says a handful of words now ("mama", "dada", "buba", "doggy") and signs "more" and "all done". She also knows how to shake her head "no" and says "ssss" for yes. When the girl gets hungry she MUST be fed immediately. Walking is totally second nature to her now and she loves to get into every cupboard and drawer we have not locked up! She keeps us on our toes and lights up our lives every day! We love you, precious girl! Happy 1st Birthday!
