Luke is growing up so fast!

Luke now has two teeth. We think his smile is even cuter now that it is a "toothy grin"! We are hoping, however, that those top ones wait awhile to come in. Teething is no fun at all!!! If you look really closely, you can see Luke's teeth in this picture. (And...no we are not becoming hoarders! It just so happened that this was the week we packed up some of Luke's newborn stuff to go up into the attic).

He is also working really hard on crawling. He began a few weeks ago by getting into a push-up position and moving backwards (which was a bit frustrating for him!), but now has the army crawl mastered and has taken a few "steps" up on his hands and knees.

Tonight he moved all the way across the room and back again in a matter of minutes. Watch out world....here he comes!!

Although I am trying to enjoy these last few days of being able to walk away and come back to find him where I put him, I am excited for him that he will be able to explore more of his world and go where he wants to go (which is what he has wanted to do for a LONG time!). Luckily, my mom and I baby proofed the house while she was here a couple weeks ago. I'm sure there are some things that will need to change around here that we did not foresee, but we're pretty much set for this new stage!

Luke's healthy appetite is keeping up with all this growing and changing. The kid can eat about as much cereal as I do in the morning!! We are also trying out finger foods and sippy cups, mostly just for fun!
It's pretty amazing to watch all this happening...and strange that you really don't have to teach any of it, he just figures it out on his own! Yet another reminder of what an amazing God we have! Each day I spend with Luke makes me more in awe and wonder of our Creator!
