We were really looking forward to carving a pumpkin with Luke this year, anticipating that he'd be more interested and able to be more involved than he was last year (as seen here).
Yeah...not so much! Don't let these few pictures fool you (thanks Mom for capturing the few special moments!). Most of the time, he was wandering off doing his own thing, and just came to check on the status of the pumpkin a few times. He was not too thrilled to put his whole arm into the pumpkin and pull out the goop. He didn't think the pumpkin seeds were anything special, and he didn't have any ideas about what sort of face to put on front. I even tried to help him "catch the spirit" when I suggested we put Lightning McQueen on the pumpkin. He liked the outcome, but not so much the process. So...Daddy went to work on it instead. And, did a mighty fine job! There's always next year I guess!
