We had a low-key Christmas day around our house, with just the 3 of us, and lots of cuddling and movie-watching. Luke was not feeling the greatest (croup again...surprise!), but we made the best of it, and still had an awesome day together!
We began our morning with the tradition we started last year. Luke searched under the tree for the tiny little box containing Baby Jesus from his nativity set that we wrapped up at the beginning of the month.
He wasn't nearly as enamored by this "best gift" as he was last year, clearly understanding that there were a lot of other larger gifts under the tree this year...
...but, he still played along and the message was clear.
Jesus is the most important gift we will ever get!
Then, we moved on to the other gifts! Luke needed no help opening them up this year! We continued with our 3 gifts each theme, one for each of the gifts the wise men brought to Jesus.
My super cute husband in his new winter hat! This was his "myrrh" gift this year.
Luke checking out his new storybook Bible ("frankincense" gift)
And, playing with his new "gold" gift, a new tool bench, complete with a cordless drill!
He had to keep himself occupied somehow while Mommy and Daddy put it together!
We had a very blessed day together as a family!
