(On the subject of Santa)
"Mom, why are there so many different Santas?"
"How could Santa have ALL those toys?"
(Very observant for a 3 year old, huh? Needless to say, these and other questions led to an in-depth discussion for Mom and Dad about how to handle Santa in our home! Long story, short, we decided to tell him the truth, but we still had lots of fun pretending this year!)
Luke: Those old people at the nursing home were getting ready to die.
Me: Yes, how do you know that Luke?
Luke: Because they had old cheeks with cracks in them.
(While covering his forehead with both hands)
"Why can my brain still think when I cover my head like this?"
Luke: Daddy told me to eat 8 more bites.
Nate: Whoa...Did he just do addition?
Me: I guess so since you told him to eat 6 bites, then 2 more.
(While talking about our cultural backgrounds)
Me: I'm English, Polish, Irish...
Luke: And, Sheepish?
