It has been quite a journey for us (of which I am not going to write all the details here), but we are so incredibly grateful that God has led us here, and we could not be more excited to find out what child God has chosen and intends to be a part of our family!
We will be adopting domestically and are hoping for an infant; ideally looking for placement directly from the hospital. Here has been our adoption timeline so far:
Before marriage and early in our marriage: Adoption has been in our hearts and amongst our discussions surrounding family
March 2013: Plans to begin the adoption process if God did not choose to bless us with another biological child (after experiencing an ectopic pregnancy)
October 2013: Started researching and searching for an agency to work with
November/December 2013: Visited 3 agencies
December 7, 2013: Selected "The Miriam Project" to work with
December 12, 2013: Sent in our application
January 6, 2014: First Home Study Meeting scheduled (which was then cancelled due to a crazy snowstorm)
January 9, 2014: First Home Study Meeting
January 10, 2014: Paperwork Madness begins!
February 1, 2014: Paperwork Complete!
February 18, 2014: Last Home Study Meeting
March 11, 2014: Home Study Complete
March 16, 2014: Profile Book Completed
March 24, 2014: Officially Waiting!!
