Good-Bye Grandma June

It was sad to have to say good-bye to my sweet Grandma June this month. She was such a special lady, with whom I have so many incredible memories. I have met few other women whose legacy and love were as strong and deep as my precious grandma!

I feel so blessed that Luke was able to spend some time with his great-grandma and that he will remember her. The best part is that despite her limitations over the past 5 years in which Luke has been alive, he definitely formed a special bond with her, and he clearly expressed this when I had to share the news with him. What is even cooler is that the thing he remembers most about her is her incredible smile. He is so right...that is what made Grandma June who she was...all the way to the end!

Time with family as we gathered for her funeral was really special. We rarely get to see each other as we are spread all over the country, so it was good to be able to get together, despite the circumstances. We were able to recreate some cousin shots from when we were little while we were there.

We love you Grandma June and are rejoicing with you, as you dance and talk and eat once again!
