We are officially about 5 weeks away from school starting (boo...why do we have to start in August in Indiana?), so I guess it's a good time to finish up documenting the end of Luke's Pre-K year, before his Kindergarten year begins!
Luke had a fun-filled end of the school year, with lots of fun activities to wrap it up! He grew so much this year and so enjoyed his school, class, teacher, peers, and learning!
We are so grateful for all the the varied experiences and hands-on activities Luke was able to encounter this year!
He made some good buddies, and learned a lot of lessons about friendships.
The kids had a great time at their year-end field day!
I was able to join Luke for some end of the year fun as well!
The kids spent much of the year working on learning their letters and their sounds. They used the ZooPhonics program to help guide their learning. In May, the kids each selected one of the animals to dress up as for the parent presentation. Luke chose Vincent Vampire Bat!
Here they are singing their ZooPhonics song:
And, here's the teacher who made it all happen. The fabulous Miss Shelle!
Another super special event at the end of the year was a Mother's Day Tea. I was so blessed and honored to be showered with so many precious gifts from Luke and his class! From the moment he greeted me with a tissue-paper corsage at the door and escorted me to our seats, to the biggest hug ever before I left, I felt so pampered and loved!
This was probably my favorite gift of all, though! I had tears in my eyes as I watched Luke so genuinely sing and move to these words!
