Advent Day 1

The advent season is upon us, and we are expectantly waiting for the celebration of Jesus' birth here at the Pyle household. We are again doing an advent activity every day in December leading up to Christmas, as we did last year. Some of the activities are just for fun, but the focus is yet again on giving to others because God gave us the greatest gift in his Son, Jesus. Instead of trying to post about it all at once when we are finished, I'm going to do one picture a day. Of course, I'm already five days behind, but such is life!

The first day of advent we visited a live nativity of sorts at a local church. We participated in a Holy Walk Through Bethlehem. Here is Luke, at the end of the walk, in complete awe of the Baby Jesus in his manger. It was absolutely priceless, and I can think of no better way to kick off advent than this!
