It's been a fun (but, very busy!) fall! We've managed to get a lot accomplished around the new house (even though there is still quite a lengthy to-do list!), got adjusted to the school routine, and the back-to-work routine for mommy, plus led a marriage retreat at church. But, we also squeezed in some of the season's bests!
Nate brought home some geodes he found in a riverbed while he was away on a mini-hunting trip. He and Luke cracked them open together to find the treasures inside!
We took a walk in the woods, on a gorgeous fall day, with a carpet of freshly fallen leaves as our path.
We square danced at church during a fall festival.
And, we played in the leaves!
We also visited an apple orchard with some friends from church.
And, hosted a neighborhood block party. I wish I would have taken a picture with our garage full of people, but we were all too busy getting along so well, that it didn't happen!
We also made it to the pumpkin patch a couple of times...
...where we took a hay ride out to the patch,
Luke selected his pumpkin for the year,
and, he took a ride on the pumpkin train (this may be the last year he thinks this is cool!).
He tried out the go-carts this year. They were a bit tricky.
But, had lots of fun jumping in the hay stack!
A pretty cute Sully, don't you think?!
We also checked out the barn animals while sipping on apple cider slushies.
Luke spent 5 days up in Michigan with his Meme and Papa, too, while Nate and I led the retreat. He had a ball, but probably most memorable was his time by the lake!
So grateful for all these sweet memories and for this fantastic time of year!
