Luke just finished 7 weeks of swimming lessons at our local YMCA. He loved every second of his time in the pool (surprised?). He learned how to float on his back with a ducky on his belly, jump off the side (his absolute favorite thing to do...see video below!), pull himself out of the pool on his own, use barbells and pool noodles to help him float, and "crawl" along the edge of the pool (see video below), among other things. He also got to ride in a canoe in the pool one day. He thought this was so cool! We are sure going to have a ball this summer in the water (and Mommy and Daddy are going to have to keep a close eye on this pool-loving, crazy-jumping, adventurous guy!). He was one of the youngest children in his class, yet he was willing to try the most and showed little to no fear. We're still working on those straight leg kicks and scoops and rainbows, but there's no doubt he loves to "swim"!
